The Master Quest was previously available as part of a GameCube compilation disc for those who pre-ordered The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Also included is the "Master Quest," a more challenging version of the main game with redesigned dungeons. You can now equip up to four items instead of three, and certain parts of the game have been reworked to minimize frustration. The first-person camera that appears while aiming weapons like the slingshot or bow can be manipulated using either the Circle Pad or the system's built-in gyro sensor. The graphics feature higher resolution textures, improved character models, as well as a shift from the original game's pre-rendered elements to 3D polygons. Ocarina of Time 3D features the same storyline, locales, and action as in 1998's game, but with updated visuals, a touch-screen interface, and several other surprises. Link's first foray in 3D is fittingly adapted to the 3DS platform as an enhanced remake of the classic Nintendo 64 game. However, widely accessible, Deku Sticks should be available to adult Link to light simple torches instead of wasting arrows or magic. While Din's Fire, a gift given by the Great Fairy, can be used to light fires, it takes magic, leaving Fire Arrows as the other option. To child Link, Deku Sticks are a strong fighting option, and while adult Link could still use them this way, they offer a more practical use: a torch. Similar to how the Hookshot upgrades to a Longshot with more distance, the Boomerang could upgrade as well.ĭeku Sticks are also a viable option for Link to use in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's future. Logically, the Boomerang could improve in damage as Link would have more strength as an adult to throw it. So instead, the Boomerang could be an option for adult Link to attack enemies at a distance, instead of always wasting arrows. However, the Hookshot can also cause Link to fly toward enemies he latches onto, which could be potentially dangerous. The Hookshot is designed similar to the Boomerang, allowing Link to grapple items to him or stun enemies, and is meant as a replacement. While they are meant to replace the younger hero's weapons, Link could still find use with the Boomerang. In the future, Ocarina of Time's weapon quests and storyline help Link acquire a diverse array of weapons. While it makes sense for the Slingshot and Kokiri Sword to be unavailable by size, the Boomerang and Deku Sticks should still be available to the older Link as well. However, adult Link awakens to a new Hyrule, and Navi communicates that Link won't be able to use any of the previous weapons found as a child. To defeat the power of Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time, each Sage's strength is required to seal the evil in the Sacred Realm. Rauru informs Link that Ganondorf has spread evil across Hyrule, corrupting the Temples of the other Sages, and he must awaken the remaining Sage powers and collect their Medallions. As a result, Link is locked away in the Temple of Time for seven years. After unlocking the door in the Temple of Time, Link leads Ganondorf right to the Sacred Realm and the Triforce. She instructs Link to collect the remaining two Spiritual Stones to open the Door of Time. Guided to Princess Zelda, Link is told of her vision and how she suspects the Gerudo King, Ganondorf, is plotting to take the Triforce. Child Link is given a Spiritual Stone and told of evil trying to spread across Hyrule, and how he will play a role in stopping it. At the beginning of Ocarina of Time, young Link helps the Great Deku Tree purge his body of sickness and learns his purpose is much greater than Kokiri Forest.
